Nintendo's 'Nintendo Switch 2' has finally arrived, so we'll take a closer look at the main unit, including a photo review of the Joy-Con 2 attached by magnetism, an ultra-high-speed HDMI cable, and an AC adapter with a maximum capacity of 60W - GIGAZINE

First, check out the 'Nintendo Switch 2 All-in-Box.' The package looks like this.

On the side, the Nintendo Switch 2 was shown stored in an all-in-box, complete with dock, pro controller, and cables.

It can store and carry all the equipment needed to play TV mode on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The all-in-box looks like this. The size is 24cm long x 24cm wide x 16cm deep.
The surface is made of a solid black nylon-like material, and the Nintendo Switch 2 logo is printed on the front, which is the lid.

There is a handle on the top. It does not have any anti-slip rubber, but it has a cushion inside to make it easy to hold.

One-way zipper on the side.

The zipper slider is equipped with a string and a silicone ring, making it easy to open.

The 'Nintendo' logo is on the back.

When I opened the lid, the lid opened completely.

There were dividers inside, and icons showing what should go where.

The dividers are made of cushioned fabric and are secured all-in-one with Velcro.

This is what it looks like with the divider removed. The divider has no bottom, and the inside of the bottom of the all-in-box is lined with cushioning fabric.

I tried storing the Nintendo Switch 2 according to the icon.

The dock and the main unit can be stored in the upper part. Note that the dock must be inserted with the front side facing inward, as shown in the image below.

Under the console, you can store the Joy-Con 2 (left), Joy-Con 2 Grip, and Joy-Con 2 (right).

Below that is

The inner lid has a protrusion that fits snugly into the gap of the dock, thus securing the dock in place and protecting it from impacts.

There is a rubber belt on top of the inner lid, and you can insert up to six Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch game cards.

I inserted a Nintendo Switch game card into the rubber belt.

There is a zippered mesh pocket on the underside of the lid.

As shown below, you can store HDMI cables, USB-C cables, Joy-Con 2 straps, etc.

When you hold the all-in-box in your hand with everything stored, it looks like this. The weight is about 1.5 kg including the Nintendo Switch 2 set, so it's big enough to hold with one hand. The only drawback is that there is only a handle on the top and you can't attach a belt to hang it from your shoulder, but since you can carry everything including the dock and cable, it's a perfect case for taking the whole Nintendo Switch 2 to a friend's house or a trip. Also, since the full set can be put together in one case, I felt that it could be used to store it when you're not playing at home.

Next, check out the Nintendo Switch 2 carrying case.

Inside was the carrying case itself and a screen protector.

The carrying case is 14cm long x 29cm wide x 4cm thick. It is made of a solid, hard material in matte black. The Nintendo Switch 2 logo was printed on the surface.

The 'Nintendo' logo is on the back.

The zipper has two slides, opening from both sides. The sliders have strings and plastic loops attached to them. The loops are red and blue, the same colors as the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2.

Opening the carrying case, the inside is lined with soft, brushed material and has an inner cover that also serves as a screen protector.

This is what the Nintendo Switch 2 looks like when placed in the carrying case. It fits perfectly with the left and right Joy-Con 2 attached to the main unit.

The inner lid has a mesh pocket and a belt for inserting Nintendo Switch 2 game cards. The mesh pocket can only store straps, so it seems difficult to store cables or other items.

The included screen protector. It comes with a sheet marked '1' and '2', a dust removal sticker, and a cleaning cloth.

Let's try applying a screen protector. First, wipe the screen with a cleaning cloth and remove any dust with a sticker.

Peel off sheet '1' from the screen protector.

Gently apply the screen protector to the screen of the Nintendo Switch 2. If any air bubbles form, gently press the screen protector with a cleaning cloth to push them out of the sheet.

Once you have finished applying part 1, slowly apply the screen protector while peeling off sheet 2.

It's OK if you remove the air bubbles.

The good thing about the carrying case is that it allows you to carry the Nintendo Switch 2 console compactly and safely. As it is an official Nintendo product, the stitching and construction are solid, and since it is a hard case, it is highly durable. It weighs about 500g including the Nintendo Switch 2 console, so it is light enough for even children to carry. However, the carrying case does not have a handle, and you cannot carry chargers or other items with it, so it is best to use it only when you need to carry the console temporarily.
