The Samsung microSD Express Card 256GB for Nintendo Switch 2 inserted into the microSD Express slot of the Nintendo Switch 2.

To actually test the read and write speeds of the Samsung microSD Express Card 256GB for Nintendo Switch 2, we borrowed SanDisk's card reader

The contents include an instruction manual, the PRO-READER SD Express Dual Card itself, and a USB-C cable.

The top surface looks like this. The exterior is made of aluminum, which is designed to dissipate heat.

There are four rubber feet on the bottom to prevent slipping.

The product name and certification mark are printed on the left side.

So, I inserted a microSDXC 512GB EVO Plus and a Samsung microSD Express Card 256GB for Nintendo Switch 2 into the PRO-READER SD Express Dual Card and measured the read and write speeds using

The data size was set to 1GiB and the number of trials was set to 5, and the results are as follows. First, the read and write speeds of the microSDXC 512GB EVO Plus were sequential read speed of about 96MB/s, sequential write speed of about 85MB/s, random read speed of about 13MB/s, and random write speed of about 4.4MB/s.

The results for the Samsung microSD Express Card 256GB for Nintendo Switch 2 are as follows: sequential read speed was about 610-630MB/s, sequential write speed was about 220MB/s, random read speed was about 25-27MB/s, and random write speed was about 60-70MB/s. The read and write speeds are obviously much faster than the microSDXC 512GB EVO Plus, so it is expected that reading large game data will be faster and loading times will be shorter.
