Video Summary is a feature introduced in July 2025 that generates a video summarizing the contents of your notebook.

For example, the following shows the results of loading ' (PDF file) AI and Copyright ' and ' (PDF file) AI Utilization Guidelines: Practical Reference for AI Utilization, ' both published by the Copyright Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' Agency for Cultural Affairs, into NotebookLM. The 'Chat' section in the center contains a summary of the loaded document.

Select 'Output Language' from 'Settings' in the top right corner.

Select 'Japanese' and click 'Save.'

Click 'Video Explanation' under 'Studio' in the right column.

Then the video will be generated.

The generated video looks like this. However, Japanese support is not yet available at the time of writing, and the video content is all generated in English.

Support for 80 languages is expected to be available 'sometime this week,' meaning it will be implemented by August 2025.
