'Firefox 139' official release, full page translation possible within extension page



The official version of the web browser Firefox 139 has been released, bringing support for in-page full-page translation, support for transparent PNGs when copying and pasting, and improved HTTP/3 upload performance.

◆ Support for full page translation within the extension page
Previously, pressing the translation button on the extensions page would have no effect, but now a dialog box will appear.



It is now possible to translate the entire extension page starting with moz-extension://.



◆ Transparent PNG support when copying and pasting
Transparent PNG images now maintain their transparency when pasted.

◆ HTTP/3 upload performance improvements
HTTP/3 upload performance has been significantly improved, including improvements over QUIC 0-RTT resumption and high-bandwidth/high-latency connections.

◆Other changes
You can no longer import payment methods and passwords directly from Chrome on Windows

Debugger routes are now scoped to the specific domains they are configured to

Debugger stopped line style now appears in high contrast mode
Improved cross-browser interoperability on some sites

Firefox 139 also includes several security bug fixes .
