◆ Vertical tab layout released
Until now, it was possible to display a sidebar that displayed the AI chatbot, tabs for other devices, history, etc. by clicking and checking 'Show Sidebar' in the 'General' tab of settings.

In Firefox 136, you can now use the 'Vertical Tabs Layout' which arranges open tabs vertically by enabling 'Vertical Tabs' from the 'Customize Sidebar' menu.

It is said to be easier to organize tabs because it can display more tabs simultaneously than the conventional layout that arranges tabs horizontally.
◆ Update of 'Clear browsing data and cookies'
The 'Saved form entry history,' which was previously included in the 'Browsed pages and downloads history,' has now been separated into a separate category, and you can choose whether or not to clear it individually.

◆
SmartBlock
UpdateSmartBlock, which blocks tracking scripts when Enhanced Tracking Protection is set to 'Strict' and when in private browsing mode, has been updated to allow selective unblocking of some SNS embeds. Firefox 136 only allows unblocking of some embed types, but plans to support various types of embeds in the future.
◆ HTTPS first mode is enabled
HTTPS first mode has been enabled, which updates page loads to HTTPS by default. Fallback to HTTP communication will occur only if HTTPS connection fails.
