Threads now lets you add up to five links to your profile and will also release a link response analysis tool

Threads, a social networking site run by Meta, has announced that users can now add up to five links to their profiles, and that an analytics tool will soon be available to see how many clicks people get on links in their profiles and posts.

The official Threads account announced on May 15, 2025 local time that users can now add up to five external links to their profile page. This allows creators to direct their audience on Threads to their own website, other social media accounts, their main platforms, or their work sales pages.

According to an image posted by Threads, when you open 'Link' from the profile editing screen, an 'Add Link' option appears below the list of links, and you can add up to five links from here.

Threads will also soon be releasing an analytics tool for the links you add to your posts and profiles, which will allow you to see the total number of clicks on a link on Threads, as well as the number of clicks over a certain period of time.

Engadget reports that Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram and Threads, previously

said , 'We don't demote links, but we don't place much value on clicks.' But that may be starting to change as Meta makes creator acquisition a priority for Threads.

GIGAZINE also has an official account on Threads, so I tried to see if I could really add up to five links. However, at the time of writing, I could not find the 'Add Link' option on the profile editing screen on either the web version or the smartphone app.
