The chat AI 'Claude' will implement the 'Integrations' function for linking with other apps, and can connect to the MCP server to link with 'Cloudflare', 'PayPal', 'Zapier', 'Confluence', etc.

AI company Anthropic has announced a new feature called ' Integrations ' that links their in-house chat AI 'Claude' with other companies' services. This allows the web app version of Claude to connect to MCP servers , making it possible to do things like 'output answers based on information on Confluence' and 'run workflows automated by Zapier from Claude.'

Anthropic announced the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a protocol for exchanging data between AI agents and various systems, in November 2024, and MCP is becoming widely used outside of Anthropic products. However, until now, it was necessary to use the desktop version of Claude to connect to the MCP server.

With the new implementation of Integrations, the web app version of Claude can now connect to an MCP server. At the time of writing, integration with services such as Jira , Confluence , Zapier , Cloudflare , Intercom , Asana , Square , Sentry , PayPal , Linear , and Plaid is supported. Support for Stripe and GitLab is also planned, and developers can create their own MCP servers and integrate them with Claude.

In addition, 'Advanced Research' has been introduced, an enhanced version of ' Research ' that collects information on the web and creates reports. Advanced Research allows you to break down search requests into smaller parts and create reports in up to 45 minutes.
