It has been reported that Microsoft is developing a portable game console codenamed 'Kennan.' It will be part of the company's Xbox family of home game consoles and will be equipped with features unique to the Xbox.

According to technology media Windows Central, the Kennan will be Xbox's first handheld gaming device and will feature buttons and a design similar to past Xbox controllers.
The OS will be Windows, and along with the ability to install game clients such as Steam, it will also feature Microsoft's app store, Microsoft Store, and cloud gaming service, PC Game Pass.
Windows Central noted that 'Microsoft is working with major OEMs such as Asus, Lenovo, MSI, and Razer,' and said that the device is likely not an original Xbox device, but an OEM device made in collaboration with Microsoft.

Windows Central also reports on the next-generation Xbox Series X|S. According to sources, the next-generation console will be a model closer to Windows than ever before, lowering the barrier to porting PC games. It will also maintain backward compatibility with past games, and may have AI functions as well as cloud functions.
