The LDP presidential election debate between five candidates and junior and senior high school students on the future of Japan will be streamed live on Niconico Live Broadcasting, YouTube, and X.

As a special project for the Liberal Democratic Party presidential election, which will close on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, and the vote count will be on Saturday, October 4th, Dwango will host a debate between presidential candidates and junior and senior high school students from 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 28th, 2025, and will stream the debate live on Niconico Live Broadcasting, YouTube, and X.

Appearing on the debate will be all candidates running in the presidential election: Takayuki Kobayashi, Toshimitsu Mogi, Yoshimasa Hayashi, Sanae Takaichi, and Shinjiro Koizumi, as well as junior and senior high school students from N High School, S High School, R High School, and N Junior High School, all of which are run by the Kadokawa Dwango Gakuen educational corporation. The debate will be moderated by Tsuyoshi Natsuno, President and CEO of Dwango and Distinguished Professor and Director of the Kindai University Institute of Informatics.

The program will feature not only in-person attendance but also remote participation from junior and senior high school students, who will be able to freely ask questions about a variety of topics related to daily life and the future from their unique perspective, drawing out how the candidates think about 'Japan's future.' It will also provide an opportunity for viewers to deepen their understanding by conveying the candidates' personalities and how they respond to 'the voices of young people.'

The upcoming LDP presidential election will be held following the announcement by Shigeru Ishiba on September 7, 2025, that he would resign as LDP President and Prime Minister.
