The completion ceremony for Yamato Forever REBEL 3199 Chapter 4: Sasha, which will begin screening in theaters on Friday, October 10, 2025, was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly on Friday, September 19, 2025. The event was hosted by Eriko Nakamura, voice of Mikage Kiryu, and featured appearances by Megumi Han, voice of Sasha, Houko Kuwashima, voice of Yuki Mori, Makoto Furukawa, voice of Alphonse, Director Naomichi Yamato, and Director in Chief Harutoshi Fukui.

This film is the latest in the remake series that began with 'Space Battleship Yamato 2199,' and is based on 'Yamato: Forever,' which was released in theaters in 1980, and 'Space Battleship Yamato III,' which aired on television from 1980 to 1981.

In Chapter 4, as the subtitle suggests, Sasha Iskandar Kodai, played by Pan, reappears as a key character at the age of 17, bringing a dynamic personality to the story.



Because of this, Pan began her speech on stage by saying, 'Uncles and sisters, Sasha is overwhelmed with emotion,' which drew applause.



Director Yamato's words, 'We've finally reached the halfway point,' drew applause from the audience, but immediately afterwards, Director General Fukui made the frightening statement, 'In terms of calories, we're still at 30%.' Because the story will continue to develop at a furious pace from here on, he described Chapter 4 as an episode that depicts the flow of people's hearts, and as being 'condensed with the sweet parts.'

When asked about the parts he chose to leave out from the original work when creating Sasha for 3199, Director General Fukui mentioned that 'the sudden increase in size' was an essential element, but said that he wasn't particularly conscious of the parts he chose not to include. However, he said that having Keiko Han, Sasha's original cast member, appear in the role was something he had considered from the initial concept.

Furthermore, Kuwashima and Furukawa will be appearing on stage together for the first time as Yuki and Alphonse. According to Furukawa, when he mentioned that he would be appearing on stage with Kuwashima, Ono Daisuke, who plays Kodai Susumu, responded with 'What!?'



The relationship between Yuki and Alphonse is also portrayed in detail in the film, and Kuwashima-san offered her thoughts on the red dress that Yuki 'chose to wear herself' in the dance party scene. While she thought that Yuki would never choose a dress like that, she said it could also be a sign of her determination to 'not be dyed in your color,' offering her own insights that are typical of a cast member who has played the role of Yuki for a long time.

Kuwashima also said that when they first started recording, Alphonse had a lot of long lines of explanation, while Yuki often just gave short replies, and when he saw the finished footage, he felt that Alphonse's voice sounded like 'Susumu Kodai.' When asked if this was a deliberate casting choice, Director Fukui replied that he only noticed it when he saw the footage himself. There was even a moment when Director Yamato pointed this out to him.



It's interesting to think that Yuki's inability to completely hate Alphonse may be due to the fact that she senses something ancient within him.



In both the teaser and the official trailer for Chapter 4, Rajendra's Captain Ram stands out, and according to Director Fukui, he is quite popular, with Pan also naming Ram as a character he is interested in.
