Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and Apple Watch SE3 Unboxing and Appearance Photo Review
Apple's official smartwatch, the Apple Watch, will be released on September 19, 2025. The top-of-the-line model, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 , is designed for outdoor and sports use, the latest version of the regular model, the Apple Watch Series 11, and the latest version of the budget model , the Apple Watch SE3 . The actual product arrived at the GIGAZINE editorial department, so we opened the box and checked its appearance.
Apple Watch - Apple (Japan)
From top to bottom, these are the packaging boxes for the Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and Apple Watch SE 3. The Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch SE 3 are the same size, but the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is slightly larger.
I unboxed the Apple Watch Ultra 3. The interior is decorated with pictures of majestic mountains and rivers.
On top was the Apple Watch Ultra 3 manual.
Below the instructions is a package containing the Apple Watch Ultra 3 itself and a document that reads 'Designed to be Apple in California' and the latitude and longitude of Apple's headquarters.
At the bottom of the package was a magnetic fast charging USB-C cable.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 itself looks like this. The one I purchased this time is the 49mm titanium case.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 body (left) is next to the body of the previous generation Apple Watch Ultra 2 (right). There are almost no changes in design or size, but the screen size has been slightly expanded from 410 x 502 pixels to 422 x 514 pixels.

The bottom looks like this.
On the left side are a microphone, speaker, action button, and siren speaker.
On the right side are the side button and digital crown. From the left, there are three holes for the microphone, microphone, and depth sensor.
Looking at the back, there is no difference between the Ultra 3 (left) and Ultra 2 (right), including the heart rate sensor and the text around it.
The actual weight of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 was 61g.
This time I chose the light blue Alpine Loop wristband.
This is what it looks like when worn. The light blue Alpine Loop has a subdued color and seems like it could be used for everyday wear. However, the Alpine Loop itself is a wristband designed for serious mountaineering, and although it fits securely to your arm, there are some parts that make it difficult to remove, so it may not be suitable for people who take it on and off frequently.
Next, I opened the Apple Watch Series 11. This time I purchased the 46mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with Neon Yellow Sport Loop set.
Inside the box is the Apple Watch Series 11 in its case and a magnetic fast charging USB-C cable.

The two grilles on the left side are speakers and vents.
On the right side are the side button and digital crown, and the hole between them is a microphone with a 'voice isolation' function.

I installed the Sport Loop Neon Yellow.
This time I chose the Sport Loop Neon Yellow, a new color, but it's a bright, almost fluorescent color that gives off a strong sporty impression, and I felt like it would stand out if I didn't coordinate it well with my outfit. If you want to wear it on a daily basis, it might be better to choose a band in a more chic color.
Finally, there's the Apple Watch SE3. The case is 44mm Midnight and the band is Anchor Blue Sport Loop.
The contents include the Apple Watch SE3 and a magnetic fast charging USB-C cable.
Front of the device. The screen resolution is 368 x 448 pixels.
It looks the same as the regular Apple Watch model.

There is a slit on the left side that serves as a speaker/vent.
On the right side are the side button and digital crown.
'SE' was written around the heart rate sensor on the back.
The actual weight of the device is 32g, making it the lightest of the three models.
The Anchor Blue Sport Loop is a new color, but it's bright enough to be considered navy blue, yet subdued enough that it looks natural with a suit. The Sport Loop itself is easy to put on and take off, making it a great wristband for everyday use.

The price of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is 129,800 yen (tax included) for the Alpine Loop, Trail Loop, and Ocean Bands, and 145,800 yen (tax included) for the Titanium Milanese Loop.

The Apple Watch Series 11 comes in 42mm aluminum GPS models priced at ¥64,800 (tax included), 42mm aluminum GPS + cellular models at ¥80,800 (tax included), 46mm aluminum GPS models at ¥69,800 (tax included), and 46mm aluminum GPS + cellular models at ¥85,800 (tax included). Titanium finish models are available only on the GPS + cellular models, with the 42mm model starting at ¥114,800 (tax included) and the 46mm model starting at ¥122,800 (tax included).
