Now live, at long last: Bookmarks, aka Saved Posts. For all those posts you'll definitely plan to come back to!

Update the app and give it a try. The button is right down there ๐Ÿ‘‡

The button added to the right of the Like button at the bottom of each post is the Bookmark button. Let's try tapping it.

The bookmark button will turn blue. Your bookmark is now complete.

You can view your bookmarked posts by tapping 'Saved' in the menu.

The list screen for bookmarked posts (saved posts) looks like this.

When you 'like' a post, the poster receives a notification, and your account appears on the likes screen for that post. On the other hand, when you bookmark a post, you don't receive a notification, and there is no 'List of bookmarked users' screen. This means you can save a post without other users knowing. Just to be sure, I checked the account that was bookmarked, and although I received notifications for likes and reposts, I didn't receive any notifications for bookmarks.

Each post displays information about how many times it has been bookmarked. In the Bluesky web app, clicking the 'โ—‹ Saved' button did nothing, but in the smartphone app, tapping the 'โ—‹ Saved' button displayed a list of users who liked the post.

By the way, if a bookmarked post is deleted, only the message 'Deleted' will remain and the post content will no longer be viewable.
