A native of Oregon, Holthaus graduated from Linfield College with a Bachelor's degree in Finance. He joined Intel in 1996, where he began his career as a program manager in the OEM Platform Solutions division and has held various management positions in sales, marketing and communications teams.
As CEO of Intel Products, she oversees the Client Computing Group, Data Center & AI Group, and Network & Edge Group, and has been named three times to CRN Magazine 's 'Top 100 Women in Industry.'
He also served as interim co-CEO following the retirement of former CEO Pat Gelsinger until Lip-Vu Tan took over.
After stepping down from his current position, Holthaus will remain as a strategic advisor for several months to ensure a smooth transition.

Intel also appointed Kevork Kechichian as leader of the Data Center Group, Jim Johnson as leader of the Client Computing Group, Srini Iyengar as leader of the Central Engineering Group, and Naga Chandrasekaran as leader of the Extended Foundry.
Kevork brings a strong combination of strategic vision, technical expertise and operational discipline that will help Intel capture growth opportunities across the data center market, Tan said.
