Windows power-up tool collection 'PowerToys' now includes a new feature that lets you fine-tune the mouse cursor position along horizontal and vertical lines and click.

PowerToys is a collection of tools that improves the usability of Windows in many ways. Its mouse utilities include a spotlight to help you find the mouse cursor quickly, and a function to draw horizontal and vertical crosshairs with the mouse pointer at the center. A new feature has been added: a 'gliding cursor' function that uses the crosshairs to fine-tune the cursor position and click.

You can see exactly what this function does by watching the animation. In this demonstration, we are trying to close an open window.

With PowerToys installed, pressing the default keys (in my environment, this is 'Windows' + 'Alt' + '.') simultaneously will turn on the 'gliding cursor,' and the mouse cursor will move from left to right along a horizontal line on the screen.

Pressing the default key again will slow the movement speed, and pressing it again will end the horizontal movement.

Next, the mouse cursor moves from top to bottom along the vertical line at the coordinate where the horizontal movement ended.

As before, pressing the default key will slow down your movement speed.

If you press the default key again, it will be considered as clicking the area where the mouse cursor is.

You can customize the key combination to activate the gliding cursor, the color of the crosshair, and the movement speed.

PowerToys can be installed from the Microsoft Store, and there are several other installation methods available.
