I tried 'Nissin's Nibo Donbei Extra Large Kitsune Udon' which is transformed into a special Nibo powder

Nissin's Japanese-style cup noodle 'Donbei' will be joined by ' Nissin's Nibo Donbei Extra Large Kitsune Udon ', which contains special Nibo powder and is packed with the flavor of dried sardines, from Monday, July 28, 2025. This time, I was provided with a sample ahead of the release, so I tried it a little early.

The raw materials look like this, and the soup contains fish powder, dried bonito extract, dried bonito seasoning oil, dried bonito seasoning, etc.

One serving contains 127g and 558kcal.

When you open the lid, you will find small packets of 'special nibo powder' and 'liquid soup' on top of the fried tofu, so remove them and pour in the required amount of hot water.

After pouring in the hot water, wait 5 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the liquid soup on the lid.

After 5 minutes, remove the lid and add the liquid soup.

Mix thoroughly.

Add the 'special nibo powder' and it's done.

It looks like a regular 'Donbei' with a big piece of fried tofu on top, and the noodles and fried tofu are supposed to be the same, but when you eat it, the impression is completely different thanks to the soup made with plenty of niboshi powder. The sweet fried tofu and the dried sardine flavored soup go well together, and even though it was a large portion, I slurped it down in no time. This change is worth it.

'Nissin's Nibo Donbei Tokumori Kitsune Udon' will be released on Monday, July 28, 2025, with a suggested retail price of 285 yen excluding tax. Amazon.co.jp was accepting reservations for a set of 12 for 3,338 yen including tax, or 278 yen per piece.
