Musk has indicated his intention to introduce a payment function that can also handle virtual currencies to X, so some believe that the appointment of Beer, who has experience at Solana Labs, may advance efforts toward integrating X with virtual currencies.
Elon Musk wants to turn Twitter into a 'payment service,' and will it accept virtual currencies such as Dogecoin?

On the day of the announcement, Solana Labs' proprietary currency, SOL, rose 2.65% from the previous day.
