Loongson is a semiconductor manufacturer based in China, and its 3A6000, which was released in 2023, has video encoding speeds that exceed those of AMD's Zen 1 generation CPUs. It is seen as a promising player for China to break away from its dependence on American companies such as AMD and Intel.

On June 26, 2025, Loongson announced the 3C6000 series of server CPUs that use its proprietary architecture 'Dragon'. The 3C6000 series includes the single silicon chip '3C6000/S' and the multi-silicon chips '3C6000/D' and '3C6000/Q', each with the following number of cores and threads.

Model name alias Number of cores Number of threads
3C6000/S none 16 32
3C6000/D 3D6000 32 64
3C6000/Q 3E6000 60/64 120/128

Loongson claims that the 3C6000 series will have performance equal to or greater than Intel's Xeon series, which will be released in 2023. Specifically, the 3C6000/S will have performance equivalent to the Xeon Silver 4314 , the 3C6000/D will have performance equivalent to the Xeon Gold 6338 , and the 3C6000/Q will have performance exceeding that of the Xeon Platinum 8380 .

Loongson also announced the launch of its new 2K3000 and 3B6000M CPUs for notebook PCs and cloud devices, which use Loongson's proprietary Dragon architecture. These CPUs incorporate Loongson's LG200 GPU and can process 4K video at 60 frames per second.

At the Loongson event, humanoid and dog-shaped robots were also exhibited as part of the results report.
