Tesla releases full-length video of a fully automated car leaving the factory and driving to the customer



Using the same technology that Tesla uses in

its robotaxi business , a completed Model Y was delivered from its Gigafactory in Austin to a customer's home in fully autonomous driving. Tesla has released a full video of the delivery.

The video starts inside the Gigafactory. There are no people inside the vehicle at first.

The Cybertruck in the front left is equipped with a camera on the rear, and you can see the Model Y in the wipe at the bottom right of the screen.



For a while, I followed the white car in front of me, but finally I was on my own inside the Gigafactory.



As we drive down the road outside, a Cybertruck passes us from the left.

Eventually, we separated from the Cybertruck and headed onto a side road.



I headed into a residential area and saw a group of people waiting ahead to the right for a car to arrive.

CNBC points out that it is unclear what version of the autonomous driving software and hardware is being used in this delivery.
