'F1 / F1' is a work that the production team of Top Gun Maverick and Brad Pitt teamed up, and it is a story about a charismatic F1 racer who returns to the ring to save the weakest F1 team and aims for the top. It will be released in theaters in Japan on June 27, 2025.

Apple is also involved in the production and distribution of 'F1 / F1', and it will be distributed on Apple's paid subscription service Apple TV + on the same day as the theatrical release. The title on Apple TV + is ' F1 The Movie '. The custom camera used for the in-car filming was made from iPhone parts, and the main character Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt, wears an AirPods Max, and Apple technology is used in various places in the work.
However, Apple has been bombarded with complaints from users that it is promoting 'F1' in Apple Wallet notifications.

On Reddit, some users commented, 'I just got the notification, and it seems a bit odd. I can understand getting notifications for email and entertainment apps, but for an 'essential' app like Wallet? This seems a bit low-key and un-Apple-like.' Others complained to leadactor Brad Pitt, saying , 'Look, Brad Pitt, I know you want me to see the movie, but I don't want you to advertise it like this.'
There were alsocomments lecturing on how to deal with the issue, saying, 'Open the Wallet app, press the three dots in the upper right corner, and turn off notifications and offers and promotions. That's it.' However, this 'Notifications and Offers and Promotions' optiononly exists in the beta version of the iOS 26 Wallet app , and users using iOS 18 or earlier OS must disable notifications in the Wallet app itself or not display card rewards, and it is not possible to disable only offers and promotions from Apple.
TechCrunch noted that the new offers and promotions options in the Wallet app 'suggest that Apple plans to do more marketing and promotions through the Wallet app in the future, which will likely be unwelcome for many iPhone users.'
Social media users have also commented, 'Apple's movie promotional notifications are like putting a U2 album on everyone's iTunes when no one wanted it .'
All these F1 movie notifications from Apple is the equivalent of when they put that U2 album on everyone's iTunes back in the day no one asked for. pic.twitter.com/ukNLzwtuFD
