The first trailer for the second season of the anime 'Ranma 1/2' has been released, featuring Mousse, Ukyo, Happosai, Colon, and Gosunkugi.



On Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, the official event for the anime ' Ranma 1/2, ' ' Great Joy Anime Announcement ,' was held, where the first promotional video and other new information for the anime's second season, which will begin airing and streaming in October 2025, was announced. As many people had hoped and predicted, the voice of Moose, which was featured at the end of the 'Special PV announcing the production of season 2' announced in the final episode of season 1, will be provided by

Seki Toshihiko , who also provided the voice for the previous series (1989 version). Other cast members announced include Kuonji Ukyo, Happosai, Colon (Oba-ma), and Gosunkugi Hikaru.

The anime series Ranma 1/2, based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi, was first broadcast in 1989, and the second series was broadcast as a 'completely new anime' in October 2024. Many of the main characters were reprising their roles from the previous series, which attracted a lot of attention, and after the final episode (episode 12) of the first series aired, it was announced that a second season would be produced.

The PV starts with Mousse's memorable line, 'Tendo Akane... I want you to be the bait to lure Ranma.' Mousse will be played by Seki Toshihiko, who also played in the previous work. Seki is known for his roles as Kibutsuji Muzan in 'Demon Slayer: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,' Doi Hansuke in 'Nintama Rantaro,' and Kitaro's father in 'Kitaro Birth: The Mystery of Gegege.'



Ranma's childhood friend, Kuonji Ukyo, owner of the okonomiyaki restaurant 'Ucchan,' will be played by

Nazuka Kaori . Nazuka has also played Uta in 'ONE PIECE FILM RED,' Kycilia Zabi in 'Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,' Nunnally Lamperouge in the 'Code Geass' series, and Eureka in 'Eureka Seven.'



The role of Happosai, which many were worried about whether it would be possible for him to appear in the Reiwa era, will be played by

Kazuhiko Inoue . He has played Nyanko Sensei in 'Natsume's Book of Friends,' Kakashi Hatake in 'NARUTO,' Jerid Mesa in 'Mobile Suit Z Gundam,' and Shiro Yamaoka in 'Oishinbo.' In addition to appearing as Emperor Sanzenin in the previous work, Ichiro Nagai, who played Happosai in the previous work, is his mentor.



The role of Colon, the female hero clan's grandmother, is played by

Ayako Mayama . She is known for her roles as Sugiyama-kun in 'Chibi Maruko-chan,' Rantaro's mother in 'Nintama Rantaro,' and as the voice of Nurse Helee in the foreign TV drama 'ER.'



The role of the unique classmate, Gosukugi Hikaru, is played by Akira Ishida . He is known for his roles as Kaworu Nagisa in 'Neon Genesis Evangelion,' Athrun Zala in 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED,' Kotaro Katsura in 'Gintama,' and Akaza in 'Demon Slayer: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,' and also appeared in a mob role in the previous work.



While the constant appearance of new characters is sure to grab your attention, scenes from the trailer also reveal that an episode is planned depicting the turmoil that ensues when Akane is cast as Juliet in a drama club play.



The second season of the anime 'Ranma 1/2' will begin airing on Nippon Television in October 2025. It will be broadcast nationwide on Nippon Television Network in sequence. It will also be exclusively distributed on Netflix immediately after broadcast.
