Workout.lol was developed as a web application that teaches you the best training menu by inputting the training equipment you have available and the part of the body you want to train. At one point, Workout.lol tried to add videos explaining how to train to the platform, but was unable to form a partnership with a reliable video provider.
Workout.lol was later sold to another party, but the buyer found the licensing fees for the exercise videos to be 'prohibitive' and gave up on adding more videos. This, combined with poor health, led to the entire Workout.lol project being abandoned.
Snouzy , a major contributor and lover of the tool, has been trying to contact stakeholders to restart Workout.lol. However, after 15 attempts over the past nine months with no response, he gave up on restarting Workout.lol. Instead, he decided to open source Workout.cool as a comprehensive fitness coaching platform that further develops Workout.lol.
'I'm not building Workout.cool for profit. This is not just a revival, it's an evolution,' Snouzy said. 'I'm not just a developer. I'm also a user who refused to let the community down. It was a really frustrating experience to watch a tool I loved slowly disappear. Like many of you, I used Workout.lol to save my workouts, track my progress, and build routines around the platform.'
Although it is still under development, you can try out Workout.cool by visiting the following webpage:
Workout Cool
https://workout.cool/
When you access the URL above, you will be shown a screen where you can select the training equipment you own, as shown below.

This time, select 'Bodyweight' and 'Dumbbell' and click 'Continue'.

Next, select the part of your body you want to train. In this case, select your shoulders, upper arms, and forearms and click 'Continue.'

Then, various training menus that work on the selected part were displayed. Click 'Continue'.
The training menu will be displayed from the top, and you can record the number of repetitions and load. If you don't know how to do the training, click on the image on the left.

You can then watch a video explaining the training. Although I didn't include a bench in the training equipment I have, a bench-like device appeared in this video.

When Snouzy reported on Workout.cool on Hacker News, former Workout.lol developer Vincenius responded: 'Oh, this is interesting. I'm the original creator of Workout.lol. I sold the app, but it seems to have been abandoned. I've messaged them multiple times to see if they need support, but they've never replied. I'm really happy to see it's being maintained again! The UI improvements are great too.'

Snouzy responded, 'Oh Vincenius! You have no idea how happy I was when your name came up lol. I missed you too. It really hurt my heart to see the project stagnating like that. That's what motivated me to rebuild everything while keeping the open spirit that has been there since day one. Thank you for your kind words about the UI. I really love hearing from you, and you're always welcome if you ever want to join again (I know it's hard as it's similar to the original project that was sold). Your opinions, ideas, or even just presence means a lot!'
