Since early June 2025, some users have reported a bug in which all links in Google search results are displayed in purple instead of blue, which would indicate that the links have been clicked.

However, a user on Reddit reported that all the links in Google search results have turned purple. The issue has been reported by multiple users, including those using

Some users who experienced the problem tried resetting their browsing history, cookies, and cache, or uninstalling and reinstalling the browser, but none of these solutions worked.
One user stated that the same phenomenon occurs on multiple devices and browsers that are logged in to the account, but it occurs even when not logged in. In fact, the GIGAZINE editorial department has also reported cases where they have encountered this problem even though they are not logged in to their account, as shown below.

In response to the Reddit post, Google said, 'Thank you for reporting this issue. We're aware of the issue and are currently investigating. We appreciate your patience as we work to identify the root cause.'
