In response to this situation, Waymo has announced that it will temporarily suspend its robotaxi service in parts of Los Angeles.

Waymo commented, 'We believe that our vehicles were not intentionally targeted, but were simply nearby during the protests,' and in fact, there have been cases of Lime electric scooters being burned, as well as Waymo. In addition, it has been reported that sporting goods stores Jordan Studio 23, Adidas, and mobile phone carrier T-Mobile stores have been looted.

President Trump (Republican) and California Governor Gavin Newsom (Democrat) are at odds, with President Trump suggesting that Governor Newsom be arrested, to which Governor Newsom responded, 'Go ahead and try.'

Governor Newsom posted, 'The President of the United States has called for the arrest of a sitting Governor. This is a day we never want to see in America. Whether you're a Democrat or Republican, this is a red line we cannot cross as a nation. This is clearly a step towards authoritarianism.'

The lawsuit also alleges that President Trump is 'stoking fear in his efforts to take control of the National Guard and violate the United States Constitution.'
