To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the start of the serialization of '

Initial D ,' on June 6, 2025, the day the final 23rd volume of the sequel, ' MF Ghost ,' is released, newspaper advertisements featuring an original illustration by Shigeno Shuichi for the first time in approximately 11 and a half years were published in the morning editions of the Asahi Shimbun and Yomiuri Shimbun.

The newspaper advertisements that were published are shown below. The Asahi Shimbun version on the left features Initial D's protagonist Takumi Fujiwara and his beloved Hachiroku, while the Yomiuri Shimbun version on the right features Keisuke Takahashi and his beloved FD and Ryosuke Takahashi and his beloved FC3S. When the two are put together, they form a large picture.

Additionally, in Tochigi, Saitama, Ibaraki, and Kanagawa, where Project D traveled, as well as in Shizuoka (Honda/Suzuki), Aichi (Toyota), Okayama (Mitsubishi), and Hiroshima (Mazda), areas associated with cars that appear in the series, scenes from memorable battles have been featured in newspaper advertisements.
