Mister Donut's new texture donut 'Mochirin' 4 kinds tasting review, what kind of texture is 'beyond mochimochi'?

Mister Donut, which celebrated its 55th anniversary, began selling ' Motchurin ,' a new donut with a texture that is thoroughly focused on the texture, aiming to be 'beyond the mochi mochi' on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. The new donut dough, which is available in four flavors, 'kinako,' 'mitarashi,' 'azuki,' and 'brown sugar & warabi mochi,' has a texture that allows you to enjoy both elasticity and softness at the same time, and 'You won't know this texture unless you eat it!' So I actually bought one and tried it.

Arrived at Mister Donut.

I bought 'Mochirin Kinako', 'Mochirin Mitarashi', 'Mochirin Azuki', and 'Mochirin Brown Sugar & Warabimochi' and came home.

This is what it looks like on a plate.

First, I'll try the 'Motchurin Kinako'.

If you cut it in half and look at the cross section, you can see that it is not packed with dough, but has spaces. This dough structure balances chewy elasticity and fluffy softness in a 50:50 ratio, giving it a softer and lighter impression compared to Pon de Ring, which also has a chewy texture. The refined flavor of the 'kinako sugar' coating on the surface brings out the aroma and flavor of the dough, making this the plain flavor that allows you to concentrate the most on the taste of the new dough out of the four types we tried this time.

Next, I tried the 'Mochirin Mitarashi.'

The chewy dough and the sweet and spicy 'Mitarashi filling' are a perfect match. The subtle saltiness of the Mitarashi sauce and the chewy dough make this a dish that is more like a new type of Mitarashi dango than a donut.

Next, I will try 'Motchurin Azuki'.

Both the hole in the donut and the inside of the dough are stuffed with red beans, giving it a chewy texture and the equally delicious flavor of the bean paste in every bite.

The last thing I ate was 'Mochirin Brown Sugar & Warabimochi'.

The doughnuts are stuffed with a translucent 'warabimochi filling' and finished with 'black five brown sugar' made from black rice, black sesame, black beans, black quince, and black pine. The chewy texture of the dough and the bouncy texture of the warabimochi combine to create a wide variety of flavors and textures.

'Motchurin' will be available for a limited time from Wednesday, June 4, 2025 to mid-July at all Mister Donut stores except for some shops, and the prices are as follows.
