When I checked the US App Store, I found that there was indeed a Fortnite distribution page.

However, it is not yet possible to download it from Japan.

In August 2020, Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store because its in-app payment system violated its terms of service. In response, Epic Games sued Apple, alleging that the 30% commission charged on payments made through the App Store was excessive and that not allowing Apple to use its own payment system was a violation of antitrust laws.
After a years-long battle, Epic Games won a ruling that Apple can't charge fees on external payments or prevent app developers from directing users to external payments.
In response to this, Epic Games went through the process of restoring Fortnite to the App Store on May 9, 2025, but Apple was slow to approve it, so Epic Games, frustrated, filed a lawsuit in court.

In Fortnite, a season themed on the Star Wars film series began in May 2025, and in the iOS version of Fortnite, which has resumed distribution, if you select the Epic Games Store to purchase the in-game currency V-Bucks, you will receive a 20% bonus.

'Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts to open up mobile competition from the beginning and to the #FreeFortnite initiative,' Sweeney said in a statement.
Thanks to everyone who supported the effort to open up mobile competition and #FreeFortnite from the very beginning. And thanks to all of the folks who initially sided with Apple then later came around to the winning side, supporting app developer rights and consumer rights. https://t.co/Mw7kE7byLp
