According to reports, the appearance of Google searches for some users has changed, and an 'AI Mode' button has been added experimentally. Below is a report that a button called 'AI Mode' has been added to the right of the search field. When you hover the cursor over the gray button, a rainbow frame rotates, or a rainbow frame button is displayed by default, and the appearance varies depending on the user.

The following post also reports that 'AI Mode' has been added instead of the 'I'm feeling lucky' button that jumps directly to the first page of search results. Google appears to be testing multiple patterns for the location and appearance of the AI mode button.

Google has been testing AI-powered Google Search for members of Google Labs , and announced on May 1, 2025 that 'an AI mode tab will appear in Google Search for a small percentage of users in the United States within the next few weeks.' According to the announcement, AI mode is different from the 'AI summary' already available in Google Search, and will answer questions with AI-generated answers based on information in the search index, making it even more accessible to real-time data than an AI chatbot.

Google has also announced plans to install

Gemini not only on smartphones but also on all Android devices, including Wear OS for Google's smartwatches, and is focusing on further collaboration with AI. Gemini is also expected to be used as a support AI that reflects the user's requests while driving in button operations and route guidance through hands-free AI search.
