I tried the 'Rose Cream Chicken' at Matsuya, which is characterized by its spicy and mellow cream.

'Rose Cream

Chicken', a Korean creamy sauce made by mixing milk, tomatoes, and doubanjiang to give it a rosy (pink) color, has been released on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, as a variation of Matsuya's popular menu item 'Gorochiki (stewed chicken curry) ' . I went to try it.

Arrived at Matsuya.

The one I was looking for was the 'Rose Cream Chicken.' The poster with the rose color in the background caught my eye.

After purchasing a meal ticket and waiting for about 5 minutes, the 'Rose Cream Chicken' was completed.

The sauce is more orange than rose, and it's boiling and steaming.

That was because the solid fuel underneath the pot was still burning.

It's super hot, so I'll bounce it on the rice first. It looked pretty spicy, but when I ate it, I found that it had a creamy, mellow tomato flavor with a hint of spiciness as an accent, so unless you're someone who doesn't like spicy food, it should be fine. The rich, creamy flavor based on tomatoes goes perfectly with rice, and I felt that the regular serving was a bit lacking.

I added the recommended topping 'seared cheese potatoes.'

The cool fries are coated in hot sauce, creating a nice contrasting flavor.

This time, the rose cream chicken continued to cook until it was all eaten, and some parts of the sauce burned and became crispy, making it a dish that could be enjoyed until the very end.

The 'Rose Cream Chicken' is 880 yen (tax included) whether you order it with regular, large, or extra large servings of rice, and the 'Seared Cheese Potatoes' topping is 120 yen (tax included).
