On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Alphabet, the parent company of Google, announced its financial results for the first quarter (January to March) of 2025. During the same period, revenue was $90.234 billion (approximately 12.9 trillion yen) and net profit was $34.54 billion (approximately 4.94 trillion yen), and CEO Sundar Pichai has been promoting the achievements of AI and self-driving cars.

Google's overall service revenue increased 10% year-on-year to $77,264 million (approximately 11 trillion yen). Revenue by division was $50,702 million for 'Google Search and Other,' $8,927 million for 'YouTube Advertising,' $7,256 million for 'Google Network,' and $10,379 million for 'Subscriptions and Platforms, Devices.' Only 'Google Network' revenue decreased 2% compared to the same period last year, but 'Google Search and Other' increased by 10%, 'YouTube Advertising' increased by 10%, and 'Subscriptions and Platforms, Devices' increased by 19%.
