'Evertop' is a personal computer that can run continuously for an unlimited amount of time using e-paper and solar panels, and can emulate the IBM PC XT and run DOS and Windows 3.0.

' Evertop ' is a portable PC that emulates the IBM

PC XT , which was released in 1983, and can run DOS and early versions of Windows. It also uses electronic paper to achieve high power-saving performance, and is equipped with a solar panel on the back for charging. Developer Eric Gennotto is promoting it by saying, 'You can use it endlessly without worrying about running out of battery.'

Here's what Evertop looks like. The display is a 5.83-inch e-paper with a resolution of 648 x 480 pixels. The processor is equipped with an ESP32 , which can run DOS and MINIX, as well as Windows up to version 3.0. The operating time is 200 to 500 hours, and they are developing a low-power e-book reader system with the aim of continuous operation for several thousand hours.

It is also possible to use it by standing up the stand on the back.

The stand is equipped with a solar panel. On a sunny day, one hour of charging can store enough power to run the device continuously for 10 to 50 hours. The side of the stand also has a USB port, a PS/2 port, a serial port, a headphone jack, and an Ethernet port. It also has a built-in speaker and can connect to the Internet using Wi-Fi.

Below is a video of Evertop booting up Windows and playing Minesweeper. The refresh rate of the e-paper is low, so the screen display is delayed in response to operations, but the game itself can be played.

You can also play DOOM.

Genot has also developed the 'Evertop Min,' a smaller version of the Evertop that omits the keyboard and solar panel.
