The 'Dual Screen Translator 2.0' was announced at the China Pavilion at the Osaka Kansai Expo, and I went there to try out the actual product.

Chinese company

iFLYTEK will hold a product launch event for its AI-based translation device 'Dual Screen Translator 2.0' at the China Pavilion at the Osaka Kansai Expo on Thursday, April 17, 2025, so I decided to go and see what it was like.

Arrived at the China Pavilion at the Osaka Kansai Expo.

An event space was set up at the back of the first floor of the pavilion.

Since the presentation was in Chinese, I was given an in-ear translator.

The presentation venue looks like this.

The presentation began with an AI-based explanation of the company.

Mr. Sun Jingting of iFLYTEK explained about the Dual Screen Translator 2.0. The device he is holding is the Dual Screen Translator 2.0.

When you speak to the Dual Screen Translator 2.0 like this, the translated text will appear on the screen and the translated audio will be played at the same time.

The Dual Screen Translator 2.0 is equipped with a proprietary large-scale language model '

Spark LLM '. It also has a built-in neural network dedicated calculation unit with a processing performance of 3.2 TOPS, enabling offline automatic translation without connecting to the Internet.

It also has a noise cancellation mode, so it works without any problems in noisy environments such as factories or crowded event venues.

The translated text and audio can also be output to an external display. An example of translating Chinese into Vietnamese was shown at the presentation.

It is also possible to translate voice conversations on your smartphone.

You can also connect it to your PC to translate audio during online meetings.

The price is 5,999 yuan (about 117,000 yen). At the time of writing, it is only available in China, and sales in Japan are expected to be 'on hold.'

The Dual Screen Translator 2.0 was on display at the venue, so I tried it out.

It looks very similar to a smartphone and is touch-enabled.

There is also a screen on the back.

The rear screen can be tilted to any angle, allowing text to be displayed simultaneously on the front and rear screens.

When you're talking face to face, you can unfold the rear screen like this, making it easier for both of you to see the screen.

I actually tried translating some audio spoken in Japanese into Chinese text. The translation was done pretty quickly.
