Aquarius has had a major flavor revamp for the first time in 20 years, so we tried comparing the old and new versions

Coca-Cola has announced that it will be revamping the taste of its sports drink ' Aquarius ' for the first time in 20 years. I received a new Aquarius, which will be released on April 21, 2025, so I tried comparing the old and new Aquarius a little early.

The renewed Aquarius package looks like this:

To see how it has changed, we compared it to the pre-renewal Aquarius (left image). The new Aquarius (right image) packaging has a darker blue, which is Aquarius's image color.

The calorie count per bottle is listed on the front of the packaging; the traditional Aquarius (left) is 95 kcal, while the new Aquarius is 90 kcal, which is 5 kcal less.

The ingredients are almost the same for the old and new Aquarius, but the new Aquarius contains more

acesulfame K as a sweetener.

Also, when comparing the nutritional information per 100ml, the energy content of the old Aquarius is 19kcal and the new Aquarius is 18kcal, the carbohydrate content is 4.7g in the old Aquarius and 4.6g in the new Aquarius, and the potassium content is 8mg in the old Aquarius and 9mg in the new Aquarius.

I poured each into a glass and there was no obvious difference in appearance.

When I actually tried drinking it, the new Aquarius seemed slightly softer. When I gulped down the old Aquarius, the sweet and bitter taste typical of sports drinks remained in my mouth. On the other hand, the new Aquarius tasted almost the same, but when I gulped it down, the feeling that remained in my mouth seemed more refreshing.

The renewed Aquarius will be available nationwide from April 21, 2025.
