A review of the easy-to-use shooter 'Save the Nation' 'Snezhinka' that has received 'overwhelmingly positive reviews' on Steam. A legitimate evolution that has inherited the fun of the previous game, eliminated the complaints, and increased the volume.

When you start 'Snezhinka of the Nation's Salvation', the following screen will appear. This game can also be played with a controller, but this time we will select keyboard and mouse. Click 'Main Mode' to start the game.

The opening movie tells the story of how the main character, Snezhinka, becomes a recruit at a private military company and ends up joining the war.

When the game starts, enemies will come from the right side of the screen, and the goal of the game is to shoot them with a gun. The basic controls are to move left and right with the 'A' and 'D' keys, aim with the mouse cursor, and shoot with a 'left click'. The gun will automatically reload when the magazine is full, but you can also reload at any time with the 'R' key.

You can also aim your gun by right-clicking. This is an action that wasn't available in the previous game, and aiming your gun improves accuracy and makes it easier to hit your target, but it slows down the main character's left and right movement.

When comparing the shotgun's characteristic of firing multiple bullets separately when fired without aiming (above) and when fired while aiming (below), you can see that the bullets scatter significantly differently. This new element adds depth to the game, allowing you to take out a bunch of small enemies in one fell swoop by firing without aiming, or concentrate your firepower on a powerful enemy.
Once all enemies on the stage have been defeated, the battle ends and you are paid a ridiculous amount after various taxes and expenses have been deducted.

When you receive your pay, you can use that money to purchase one of three randomly selected 'enhancement cards' to strengthen your character or buy a weapon.

The basic flow of this game is that once strengthening is complete, the next stage begins.

Enemies will attack your team's walls by ramming or shooting. When your wall is attacked, the wall's HP at the top of the screen will decrease. If your wall is attacked too much, repair costs will be deducted from your salary, and if your HP reaches 0, the game is over.

If you play the movie below, you can see how the game plays out.
Some strengthening cards allow you to hire companions.

You can only hire one companion at a time, but the game is balanced on the assumption that you have companions, so if you find one, you'll want to actively choose them. Companions also affect the story, which will be described later.

There are also useful items called gadgets. There are two types of gadgets: one-time use consumables (green gadgets) and powerful weapons (blue gadgets) that have a cooldown but can be used repeatedly.

To use a gadget, press the space bar. If you have two gadgets, pressing the space bar will use the green gadget first, then the blue gadget. For example, if you try using the green gadget, which has its own HP and protects you from ground enemy attacks for a certain period of time, it will look like this.

Once you use a blue gadget, you can't use it again for a while, but it's powerful, so you'll want to know when to use it and use it effectively.

Once you have defended the walls up to a certain stage, you can choose between a route that leads to the true ending and a route that leads to the normal ending. It is the normal ending that involves your companions in the development of the story. In the previous game, the route was automatically decided based on your battle performance, so if you wanted to see your favorite ending, you had to take a break on the way, but in this game you can choose freely, making it more stress-free to play.

Depending on the route, you can enjoy a variety of developments from the previous game, such as accompanying a tank equipped with a powerful main gun or fighting alongside mechanical soldiers who were enemies until now. In addition, although there are a total of 100 stages, each stage lasts only a few to several tens of seconds, and one playthrough can be played in less than an hour, making it a high-tempo game.

The number of weapon varieties has increased from the previous game, and the poor weapon balance, one of the few regrettable points in the previous game, has been improved, so there are no weapons that are too powerful or too weak to be used.

The series' unique charms, such as the charming companion characters and the fully dystopian storyline, are still alive and well, so this is definitely a game that anyone who enjoyed the previous game, Molten Malfusha, will love.

The stories of this game and the previous one are connected, so if you know the previous one you will be able to enjoy the story more deeply, but you won't have to play the previous game to understand the story, so if you haven't played the series before, we recommend starting with this one.
