I poured it into a glass and the liquid was the same color as lemon juice.

It's so sweet that you wouldn't think it's sugar-free, but the lemon juice has a moderate sourness to it, so it's not so sweet that it's sticky. When you drink it, it feels refreshing in your throat, which is something you don't get with regular lemonade. It's not watery, and it has the sweetness of juice while still being close to the taste of lemonade, so it's the perfect drink for when you don't want to consume too much sugar but still want a sweet drink.
