A report on our early visit to 'GRAVITATE OSAKA,' where you can walk across Japan's longest 420m suspension bridge and do bungee jumping.

Aigawa Dam has been constructed in the northern part of Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, and Dam Park Ibakita has been developed around it, where visitors can enjoy water activities and BBQs. Dam Park Ibakita is home to Japan's longest suspension bridge, GODA BRIDGE , and an activity park called GRAVITATE OSAKA , where visitors can walk across GODA BRIDGE and bungee jump from the bridge, is scheduled to open on Monday, March 17, 2025. A pre-opening event was held where visitors could enter GRAVITATE OSAKA early, so I went to check it out.

The construction plan for Dam Park Ibakita is shown below. The 'Private Suspension Bridge Area' in the upper right is the GRAVITATE OSAKA that will be opening soon.

Here's the location of GRAVITATE OSAKA on Google Maps. It is located in an area surrounded by the Aigawa Dam lake.

And so we arrived at the parking lot of Dam Park Ibakita.

You can see the main towers that support GODA BRIDGE from the parking lot. The height of the main tower is 60m on the right bank and 12m on the left bank.

The parking lot also has space for motorcycles.

This is the park center (management building) of Dam Park Ibakita.

There is a bicycle parking area outside the park centre.

There was also a bicycle stand that you could hang the saddle on.

Inside the park center, I found an aerial photo of Ibakita Dam Park.

The suspension bridge in the area enclosed in a red frame is GODA BRIDGE, and the surrounding area is GRAVITATE OSAKA.

Head towards GODA BRIDGE. Use the main tower in the distance as a landmark and you'll be able to get there without getting lost.

The entrance gate to GODA BRIDGE is in sight. Dam Park Ibakita itself is free to use, but you need to pay an admission fee to enter GODA BRIDGE. The basic price for a one-day pass is 550 yen for elementary school students and above, and free for children under elementary school age.

I took a photo of GODA BRIDGE from a different angle. There are stairs set up at an angle toward the main tower, and you can enjoy 'bridge climbing' by climbing the stairs.

As we entered GRAVITATE OSAKA, preparations for the opening ceremony were underway.

At the opening ceremony, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held by Ibaraki City Mayor Yoichi Fukuoka, David Scott, CEO of

Gravity Park Holdings , which operates GRAVITATE OSAKA, and Junichi Goda, Chairman of Goda Co., Ltd. , which holds the naming rights to GODA BRIDGE.

I took loads of photos of the exterior of GODA BRIDGE, so I'll be publishing a report on it later.
