Both the Phone (3a) and the Phone (3a) Pro feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED LTPS display and a punch-hole camera. The display glass is made of Panda Glass , and the display refresh rate is 120Hz.

The main difference between the Phone (3a) and the Phone (3a) Pro is the main camera. Both have a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera from Sony. In addition to this, the Phone (3a) Pro has a 3x periscope telephoto lens, while the Phone (3a) has a telephoto lens to enhance the zoom function. The left side of the photo below shows the back of the Phone (3a) and the right side shows the back of the Phone (3a) Pro. Due to the difference in the main camera system, the Phone (3a) Pro is 10g heavier than the Phone (3a).

The main camera on the iPhone (3a) Pro protrudes significantly, and looks like this from the side:

The iPhone (3a) Pro has a telemacro mode that, when combined with the telephoto zoom, allows you to focus at a distance of as close as 15cm.
The Phone (3a) series uses TrueLens Engine 3.0, which adjusts photos by combining AI-based tone mapping and Ultra XDR, developed in collaboration with Google. It can also adjust the brightness of each pixel up to 5 times by taking a burst of 8 RAW images and processing them all together. Technology media Engadget says, 'Nothing's image processing is suitable for punchy, high-contrast photos and videos.'
Both phones feature Nothing's signature translucent back panel design, with the panel updated from polycarbonate to glass. The 'Glyph' light that lights up in sync with the ringtone or notification sound you set has also been revived. The elaborate design is impressive, but the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro are also waterproof to IP64 standards.

The SoC is Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 , with 12GB of memory (RAM) and 256GB of storage. The OS is Android 15, and Nothing promises three years of OS updates and six years of security patches. Technology media The Verge calls this a 'decent software policy, although not the best for a budget smartphone.'
It comes with a new feature called 'Essential Space' that allows you to save and index screenshots, voice memos, photos, etc., and also has a dedicated button called 'Essential Key' on the side.
Pressing the Essential Key once takes a screenshot, and pressing it twice opens the app to view saved screenshots, voice memos, photos, etc. The Verge described it as 'using AI to effectively organize photos that are cluttered up in your photo library.'

Both batteries have a capacity of 5000mAh and support fast charging up to 50W. Nothing says it will take less than an hour to fully charge the device, and just 19 minutes to charge it to 50%.
