' Puzzle Bobble Every Bubble!', which allows you to play Taito's puzzle game 'Puzzle Bobble ' on Nintendo Switch, will be released on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Choose a character and start the game. Each character has a different appearance and voice, but they don't have any unique abilities, so just choose the character you like.
'Puzzle Bobble Every Bubbles!' is about the main characters, Bubblen and his friends, trying to save Rainbow Island, which is suddenly covered in bubbles.
The basic rules of the game are to aim with the left joystick, throw bubbles with the A button, and line up three bubbles of the same color to remove them.
The three connected bubbles burst, and Chakkun, who had been trapped inside, was rescued.
The bubbles bounce off walls, so you can throw them in places you can't aim directly at.
Rescue all the Chakkuns and clear the stage. Each stage has a clear goal, such as freeing all the Chakkuns or clearing all the bubbles.
Press the B button to switch to the next bubble.
The key to 'Puzzle Bobble Every Bubble!' is the 'tear' system, which allows you to erase all the bubbles supported by the base bubble by erasing it. When you clear a large number of bubbles with the tear, the controlled character will let out a cry of joy.
The system is simple, but the existence of special bubbles with various effects makes the game more complex. For example, this is the 'Star Bubble' that erases all bubbles that are hit.
There is also a 'Bomb Bubble' that can eliminate surrounding bubbles when hit.
These special bubbles can be stocked by tearing them off, and can be activated at any time by switching them with the Y button.
Game modes include 'Story,' in which you clear stages in order, 'Versus,' in which you can play against other people locally or online, and 'Puzzle Bobble vs. Invaders,' a mini-game in collaboration with Space Invaders.
By adding a CPU when selecting a character, you can also play cooperatively with multiple people without having to play with other people.
What I felt when playing 'Puzzle Bobble Every Bubble!' was how addictive it was. It is classified as a puzzle game with falling objects, like 'Puyo Puyo', but rather than chaining or precise operation, the emphasis is on quick decisions to eliminate bubbles one after another, so it has an addictive quality similar to Tetris. On the other hand, there are also scenes that require techniques such as making full use of special bubbles or leaving bubbles that cannot be eliminated and eliminating them all at once later, so it is a game that combines simple rules with depth.
Taito's 'Puzzle Bobble Every Bubble!' will be released on Nintendo Switch on May 24, 2023, with the price being 5,280 yen (tax included) for the regular version and 7,480 yen (tax included) for the version with the original soundtrack. The price at the time of writing on Amazon.co.jp was 4,318 yen (tax included).
