Review of 'VOICEPEAK Free Momen', a voice synthesis software that allows you to easily create natural narration just by entering text
' VOICEPEAK Free Men ,' a text-to-speech synthesis software jointly developed by Dreamtronics and AHS Co., Ltd., was released on January 13, 2023. It was created based on the voice of voice actor Akira Koga. I actually tried using it because it is said that you can easily create natural male voice narration just by entering text.

This time, I was issued a serial code for review, so I will install the download version. Access the installer download page and download the installer for each OS. This time, click 'Download' for the Windows version. The Windows version installer is in EXE format and is 20.7MB in size.
Launch the downloaded installer and click 'Next'.
Enter the serial code to activate and click 'Next'.
The setup wizard will start, so read the terms of use, select 'I accept', and click 'Next'.
Click “Next”.
Click Next.
Click 'Install' to install the voice.
The terms of use will be displayed, so select 'Agree'.
When the installation is complete, click 'Finish.'
Once the installation is complete, click Launch.

The following movie shows how the text was actually read out loud. It takes almost no time to load or synthesize, and the reading voice by a male voice is played in a very natural atmosphere.
You can adjust the accent, intonation and reading length from the bottom right.
For example, in the unadjusted reading, the English phrase 'Cheese Frank With Bacon' was translated as 'Cheese Frank With Bacon,' with some English words being a string of letters. You can correct the reading on the accent adjustment screen.
On the accent adjustment screen, just change the pronunciation. Change 'Cheese' to 'cheese.'
Then, it will automatically be corrected to the correct reading, such as 'Chiizu.' At the same time, the reading of the 'With' part will also be corrected.
The accent is also adjusted to match the correct pronunciation.
The fine pitch of the sound can be adjusted using intonation.
You can also adjust the length of each sound, so you can say, 'I want to extend the end of this sentence a bit more,' or 'I want this sentence to end more clearly.'
Furthermore, if a word appears frequently, you can register it in the dictionary along with its reading. Click the dictionary icon from the top menu.
Select the spelling, pronunciation, accent, part of speech, and priority of the word you want to register, then click 'Save.'
You can adjust the narration speed, pitch, pause, and volume using the sliders.
You can also easily change the mood of the narrator by adjusting the 'emotion' of the narrator using the slider to one of four elements: happiness, anger, sadness, or playfulness. By adjusting the emotion, the facial expression of the illustration displayed on the right will change. In the case of Frimomen, if you increase the playfulness, the image will change from a serious man to a mysterious masked man.
In fact, in the following movie, you can watch the same sentence read aloud by neutral, happy, angry, sad, and playful people after correcting the accent and intonation of the sentence. The pitch, speed, and intonation of the voice vary greatly depending on the emotion.
It is possible to enter multiple sentences in one project. The sentences are divided into units called blocks.
Narration can be output on a project-by-project basis by clicking the kebab icon in the top menu and selecting 'Export.'
Audio can be output in WAVE and FLAC formats. Audio can also be saved individually, with each block automatically assigned a sequential number.
